Credit Repair requires that you have to follow the right process to get the collections off your credit report. There are some different opinions on what is best when it comes to removing collections from your credit report. You need to know the right way and the wrong way to get your collections removed. Here is what you need to know.

The first thing to do is to get yourself a copy of your credit report. You can do this online without much hassle. You can also write the credit agencies, equifax, trans union, and experian, to get your copy. You should get one from all three agencies so that you will have the most up to date information to work with.

The next thing you need to do is go ahead and dispute all of your collections. If you do this there is a chance that they could be removed. The way it works is you write a letter to the credit agencies explaining the debts you want to dispute, then they will write the creditors to give them notice. Then, they have 30 days to respond and if they do not, then the debt is taken off your credit report.

If this does not work and it will not for most debts. Now you have a few options. You can go ahead and pay off the debt, then have the creditor remove it. Another option is to work out a payment plan with the creditor so that you can pay off the debt and part of the deal needs to be that they will report the debt as paid on time.

These are some of your options, you can also use a debt service to help you remove collections from your credit report. They can be incredibly helpful because they also have many connections and a reputation for settling debts and getting them removed.
